Lack of battery power is one of the common situations that any car owner can face. If we are talking about equipment older than five years, it is obvious that it has worked out its resource and the need for replacement. But what if the battery is relatively new and has been in use for about two years? The existing violations can be the reason that it is not charged either from the generator or from the charger.

Experts identify a number of reasons why the battery does not charge. These include:

• Oxidation of the contact terminals, which does not allow for a good contact and leads to current leakage. In order to eliminate the problems, you need to clean the terminals and apply special grease to them;
• Failure of the diode bridge. It can become a factor initiating not only undercharging the battery, but also overcharging it;
• Looseness or breakage of the alternator belt - requires immediate elimination, as it leads to slippage on the pulley. As a result, connecting a more or less powerful consumer will lead to an accelerated discharge of the battery;
• Deep discharge, which does not allow the battery to be charged either from the generator or from the charger and requires a polarity reversal;
• Breakdown of the voltage regulator, provoked by the wear of its graphite brushes.
